Convert 8mm to digital?
Ive got this old 8mm video cassettes, the format I would like to convert into a digital. Does anyone know of an inexpensive device that would do this? I do not have the camera so that I only had to buy an old 8mm camcorder with a digital output, but if anyone has any better Opportunities, I would like to know what they are. Thank you!
You need something to convert analog to digital video. There are many so-called Converters available, but some just will convert into your own software, which can be a pain if you want to edit using a different program. It is needed then that your computer will connect to your camera to the USB device and (or?). Some camera A / V RCA cable, some use IEEE 1394 (FireWire) connections or RCA-RCA. I bought a broken video camera (will not be recorded, but plays fine) on eBay and want to include the use of a different camera (digital). (So called pass-through). Then I edit the videos to my editors.
