Firewire help please! I do not know what to buy?
I recently brought a new digital camcorder) uses mini DV (Band. The camera model is SONY HDR-HC7E. When I tried to transfer the film from the camera to my desktop computer (Windows XP), I discovered I do not have IEEE 1394 (FireWire) on the back of my CPU. What should I do? Buy and install the FireWire port on my CPU (which I'm not sure if I do not have space to be installed) OR, I found that it (connected to the computer that is sold without a FireWire port} {what easier) a piece with a USB head on one side and to install the other hand, a head of the i.LINK cable is inserted into the piece (the i.LINK cable came with the camera, it is possible) and of course the other leaders of the i.LINK cable is connected to the camera. I hope it is easy to understand my info, hopefully it's not too complicated … 
PS I have 4 USB ports on the back my CPU .. so no problem with the availability of USB ports. Thanks in advance
If the available space in your PCI ports, I pick up a PCI Firewire card. They are about $ 20 and is much more stable than the switch to USB.
